June 3rd – Help Wanted?

I will lift you. Your burden is not to be carried alone. Seek Me in the issue. Open your ears to My counsel. There must not be separation of the work given and He who gives it. There is no challenge of the mind, in which the mind alone is most suited. There is wisdom received in the prayer of those who seek. Look. Great is the wisdom of the creation about you – systems untold, not created by man. Greater is displayed in the simplest of My creatures, than in the greatest undertaking of man. Seek for this wisdom. Bow the pride of strength, of body and of mind, for the greater understandings are of your God. Become humble that you might receive the counsel, direction and solution enlightened by My Spirit. You do not receive, for you do not approach He that will give understanding beyond your own. Small in mind are those large in self, and when wisdom does not come from such as these, they themselves fall to the churn of worry and doubt. Do not be as those who know no Counselor. Ask and believe that you might receive the light to your feet.

John 14:16-17 (ESV) – And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

Bottom Line: We have a great counselor in the Holy Spirit, but because it can be hard to hear Him, we tend not to ask for the guidance we could receive. Some of us have had the blessing of His Spirit for years, but still try to do everything on our own, especially in our work lives. Unfortunately, the more “successful” we are on our own, the farther we can stray from receiving His best in our lives. The highest success we can have will be under the counsel of our God. Whether you’re doing pretty good, or whether you’re in the middle of a challenge, turn to Him, seek His counsel in His Word and in prayer, because the best path forward is the one He shows you.
