October 29th – Come In

Let nothing come between. Many are the distractions, and many the paralyzed. You have received My Word in Spirit, and in promise, your life ransomed at great cost. You have also given, as the created, promise in return. Be faithful in this word, for in this promise you choose life eternal. Keep clear My throne for your King alone, and do not allow sin to block your entrance, that you might find forgiveness from separation. Often you stand behind the closed door, fearful of entry, in remorse for the fall, with distance to the believers. Come again that freedom might be yours. In fellowship you may walk again, closely with your God and brother. The remorse is the knock, that you might enter and be refreshed.

1 Peter 5:10-11 (ESV) – And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.To Him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Bottom Line: Guilt can be good and bad. On one hand, it can be so debilitating that it keeps you in a state of depression and withdrawal, unable to feel close to God or anyone else who seems to be close to God. On the other hand, it can create a deep heart-conviction to make a positive change. Often, the first step in that change is clearing the throne for God to take His rightful place again in our lives. The second step is to find the courage to enter into His presence, and receive the forgiveness that will allow you to engage in life again, as you should. Knock, enter, kneel, and be restored. He waits.
