January 14th – Good Work

For email subscribers, to listen, click on the title above, and an audio bar will appear below.

Intelligence is a fool if not in My will. Wisdom is the righteous application of knowledge. Arrogance can grow from education not brought into submission of the One who granted the blessing. As a gift given to a child, it can be used for good or harm. Guidance of a hammer will build, but without – destruction. Your abilities are not your own; [they are] given to be a blessing, but lost to those who misuse. Many fools were great leaders, successful at each endeavor, endowed to create wonder, but created only for self, and left the world in want of their potential greatness. You have been gifted a great gift, life and all you possess, given once and only for a time. What will you build with the power you have been given? Great are the regrets of many who have possessed much. Pray that you will have My guidance for your talent, that wisdom and blessing will be hallmarks of your work on earth and eternity.

Ephesians 2:10 (ESV) –  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Bottom Line –  If not careful, we can misapply our talents, education and intelligence. These tools were given only secondarily for building our life. Primarily, they were given so that by the end of our life, we will have built into His Kingdom and people, and we need the guidance of the Holy Spirit that we might build well. Thank Him for your intelligence, and let His Word work in you today.
