There is great work in service. The highest place to heaven is often the lowest place to man. You lift your head not only to heaven, but to those you serve as you serve Me. I remember all, orchestrated from the beginning, your place and time – lifting others, giving to them ease and courage, offering your efforts to save them from their own, making better what they cannot, giving support, stability and a means of achieving that would be less without your hand. These are the acts of holy strength set aside to aid, lift and strengthen another, for all, but especially those other servants who bear My name. Those who walk the narrow way are the greatest in need, for the way is one of difficulty and strain. Far easier is the road of the many who are lost. Serve first those of this family of believers, and then to those considering the Way, then to the innocent and down-trodden – those unaware of their folly, and lastly to the foolish who know the way of righteousness, but refuse its call. In service of these, you serve Me.
Gal 6:10 (ESV) – So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Bottom Line: Serving the Lord is serving others, but our time is limited and our service to others has biblical priorities. Look for those in need of service, and give accordingly.
