Where you hear his voice, do you then hear Mine? His authority is not his own; his placement is not his own. Why do you obey? For you are to hear and obey Me. In each circumstance you are driven by men and situation, but not ultimately. My hand controls all things, and with clear vision. All you are asked to do, you do for Me. The manager desires to be pleased. Obedience is the measure of favor fed back to you, but beyond and above, invisibly you serve Me. He who lives to impress others will soon find the load unbearable. The demand of man knows no proper limit, and can often be driven by sin. Seek always to hear My voice as you listen to those in authority over you. Ungodly they may be, but not without My rein and bit. They do not call Me Lord, but Lord still I Am over all things created. Follow, without sin, and even without understanding, the lost ways of man will end for you well. You do not follow alone; do not lose heart in the following.
Gal 1:10 (ESV) – For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Bottom Line: When we follow and obey those in authority with a good and right heart, God is pleased. Following our leaders should never lead us to sin; know where to draw the line.
