Today you hear My voice. I call you to a deeper call that your life might reflect My light. What good is light when cut from its source? It is gone into night, and forgotten. My light is of greater depth. For your light glows with great effort, and you must labor long to see your reward. To he who walks the way of the blessed, before his labor is counted, he is counted as those reverenced by others. The light of My presence brings great favor, not the harsh spirit of the Pharisee, but the draw of the Father, as others perceive the one who draws them. Be careful of the way you walk. Be mindful of your speech and action. Do not live as those who display only enough righteousness for the world. Your call is higher. Your love is to be deeper. Your action is to be the facets of a jewel, shimmering forth My brilliance to a passing world. Be aware of your greater call.
2 Cor 3:18 (ESV) – But we Christians have no veil over our faces; we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him.
Bottom Line: As we go about our work and lives, we tend to do what is enough to satisfy. Going above and beyond is rare, and when it does happen, part of our reward is that we look good and shine before others. Our Lord calls us to even more. We are called to bring His brilliance to the workplace, to our families, and into our friendships. People around us catch glimpses of Him if we remain diligent in reflecting Him in our responses and relationships. How? Ask Him. Get quiet. Listen. Follow His lead every one of those areas, and then go into the world this week and shine!
